I do not intend to recount the journey of Kothari Education as that legacy is presented elsewhere in this brochure. Instead, I wish to reflect on the profound joy of engaging with agile young minds, learning alongside them, and envisioning their future.
At KEd American Academy, we sought to design an institution that responds not only to the educational needs of today but anticipates the competencies required for the world of 2050 and beyond. The result is a school grounded in the values of freedom, wisdom, and innovation, offering meaningful opportunities for every learner to flourish.
Here, children are guided to develop self-belief, critical thinking, effective communication, collaboration, and emotional well-being, the foundations of lifelong learning and agency.

Kothari Education carries a legacy shaped by the late Shri Mansukh Bhai Kothari, whose dream was to build schools that nurtured young minds into responsible global citizens. His vision was carried forward by Shri Deepak Kothari, who founded Kothari Education in 2005 in collaboration with GEMS Education. From there began a journey of innovation: the opening of Kothari International School, Noida in 2006—India’s first bagless, day-boarding school—followed by multiple institutions across Pune, Noida, Mumbai, and Navi Mumbai
KEd American Academy, Borivali, Mumbai, represents the next chapter. Designed for 2040 but launching today, it blends American academic excellence and the IB ethos with India’s values.
